Starting therapy takes tremendous courage and I deeply respect the vulnerability it takes to begin this journey. You don’t have to navigate it alone. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, creating a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and empowered. Whether you’re facing life’s challenges, processing trauma, or exploring your identity and relationships, I am here to support you with compassion and guidance.
I am passionate about helping teens, young adults, and adults find healing, resilience, and self-discovery. Therapy can feel overwhelming, but it is also an opportunity for transformation. My goal is to provide you with a safe, affirming space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely while building the tools necessary for growth and meaningful change. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don’t have to do it alone—I'll be with you every step of the way.
My clinical approach is integrative and tailored to each individual, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based trauma therapy that helps individuals reprocess distressing experiences and find deeper healing.
Additionally, I have specialized training in Sex Therapy and Human Sexuality, focusing on issues like sexual identity and orientation, intimacy, relationship dynamics, and sexual trauma recovery. I specialize in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, anger management, substance use disorders, and relational concerns.
I have a special passion for serving the Latinx community and ensuring that language and cultural barriers do not stand in the way of receiving quality mental health care. As a bilingual clinician fluent in English and Spanish, I am dedicated to bridging this gap and fostering an inclusive, affirming therapeutic environment where all clients feel safe and understood. I am deeply committed to inclusivity and enjoy providing culturally responsive, trauma informed care to clients from any and all backgrounds.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Mason University, with concentrations in Forensic Psychology and Educational Psychology, as well as a minor in American Sign Language.
My clinical experience includes working in community mental health settings, private practice, and domestic violence intervention programs. I have also worked with court-mandated clients and individuals in the legal system, providing both individual and group therapy to diverse populations. My work with diverse populations has strengthened my ability to provide nonjudgmental, trauma-informed care tailored to each client’s needs. These experiences have given me a strong and profound appreciation for resilience, healing, and empowerment, which I bring to my work with you. I have helped individuals understand and regulate emotions to improve communication and relationships, supported those exploring their relationship with substances, and provided trauma-informed care to individuals healing from past experiences.
I am honored to be a recipient of the American Psychological Association’s Interdisciplinary Minority Fellowship Program, through which I receive additional specialized training to better serve marginalized communities. Additionally, I had the privilege of attending and presenting at a global mental health training in Germany, where I conducted research on the implications for counselors working with refugees and asylum seekers. This experience deepened my expertise in cross-cultural counseling and trauma-informed care on an international scale.
I deeply value the courage it takes to seek support, and I am honored to walk alongside you as you navigate your personal path toward healing and self-growth.
Philosophy
Healing happens when you feel safe, heard, and supported. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to help guide you toward clarity, healing, and growth. Therapy isn’t just about overcoming struggles—it’s about gaining insight, building resilience, and creating a life that aligns with your values. My goal is to provide a compassionate space where you can explore your emotions, heal from past wounds, and move toward your full potential. I want you to feel supported every step of the way, knowing that you’re not alone on this journey.
My approach is warm, affirming, and culturally sensitive, ensuring you feel seen, heard, and understood. As a bilingual clinician, I’m deeply committed to honoring how your identity, culture, and life experiences shape your mental health. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs. Together, we’ll ensure that our work together reflects what you need most and fits your personal story. I’m here to support you, wherever you are, in a way that feels right for you. My priority is to create a space where you can express yourself authentically and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.
I incorporate evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Therapy to help individuals heal from trauma, manage anxiety and depression, and navigate life transitions. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based trauma therapy that supports individuals in processing distressing experiences, reducing emotional pain, and developing healthier coping mechanisms. EMDR is especially helpful for those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, and trauma-related concerns.
I also specialize in supporting individuals with issues related to sexuality, intimacy, and identity. This includes exploring sexual health, desire, relationship dynamics, and healing from sexual trauma in a safe and affirming environment. While I don’t provide structured sex therapy for couples, I am passionate about supporting individuals work through relational and sexual concerns.
Above all, I view therapy as a collaborative journey—one where you can bring your whole self, including your struggles, fears, and hopes, without judgment. You deserve support that honors your lived experiences, cultural background, and personal strengths. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you on your path to healing and self-discovery.

As a big foodie, I’m always excited to discover new flavors and experiences. Traveling is a passion of mine—it allows me to experience new cultures, gain fresh perspectives, and create unforgettable memories. I’m always up for an adventure, and the beach will forever be my happy place. Reading is another way I unwind, especially books related to psychology and self-growth. I also have a strong appreciation for interior decor, constantly finding inspiration in beautiful, well-designed spaces. Walking is another way I relax and clear my mind, allowing me to be present and take in my surroundings. These activities help me stay inspired, grounded, and connected—both to myself and the world around me.
Why i became a therapist
Becoming a therapist was a path I felt deeply called to, shaped by my own personal experiences and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Growing up in a community where mental health was often stigmatized, I witnessed the struggles that many people, including myself, faced when it came to seeking help or understanding their emotions. I realized that I wanted to be a part of the solution—to break the silence, reduce the stigma, and provide a space for people to heal and grow.
A pivotal moment in my journey occurred during my high school years when I discovered a classmate who had tragically taken her life. That experience left a lasting impact on me and fueled my desire to support others who were struggling with mental health challenges. It also highlighted the importance of accessible mental health care, especially for underserved communities like the Latinx community, where cultural barriers can make seeking help even more difficult. I was also drawn to the power of human connection and the ability to guide people through their healing journey. I believe that therapy is more than just a process—it's a collaborative and empowering experience that helps individuals rediscover their strength, resilience, and potential. Each person has a unique story, and it is my honor to walk alongside them as they navigate the challenges they face.
What inspires me about the work I do with clients
What inspires me most about my work is the courage clients show in being vulnerable. Each person’sjourney is unique, and it’s a privilege to witness their strength and resilience, even when they don’t see it in themselves. Helping clients reclaim their voice and trust themselves again is incredibly rewarding.
I’m deeply inspired by the healing potential of therapy—seeing clients overcome pain, rediscover their worth, and build healthier coping mechanisms is a powerful reminder of the growth possible. The small victories and breakthroughs make this work meaningful, as I witness the transformation toward healing and resilience.
I feel especially connected to clients from the Latinx community and those who’ve experienced trauma, helping them break cultural and generational barriers. My work is about more than therapy—it’s about creating a space where clients feel understood, valued, and empowered. The connections I build with clients, and the profound impact therapy has in breaking generational cycles, keep me inspired every day. It’s truly a privilege to be part of their healing journey and to help them build healthier futures—for themselves and for the generations to come.
