Therapy for young adults
Because adulting is hard
Adulthood comes with many challenges
Young adulthood can be tough. There are many different challenges, and sometimes it may feel as if you’re expected to know what to do with your life. You're on your own now, and with that comes greater responsibility for your future. Around you, every one seems to be finding the right relationships, advancing their careers, but you feel lost, unsure of which direction to head towards. It's hard to know who you are and where you belong in the world.
Sometimes there is so much pressure to achieve. You try to do your best but it never seems to be enough. You feel stressed out and frustrated. You knew that there would be highs and lows in life, but never imagined how painful or complex it could be. There have been so many changes you’ve had to adjust to over the past year. You’re worried and exhausted for what the future might hold.

Therapy for young adults in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC
It’s confusing to know which way to go sometimes, whether you will ever feel as if you are enough or what to do with your life. You’re not alone in feeling this way. At Hope + Wellness, we work with many young adults in college, post graduation, grad school, and in their 20s and early 30s, to provide a safe, supportive space to help them figure out how to navigate this thing called life. All of us experience stress and adversity at some point in our lives and it’s difficult when it’s the first time we’ve gone through anything like this. Therapy is a healthy way for you to take care of yourself and begin developing insights to thrive and live your best life even in the face of difficult events and decisions, depression, anxiety, and stress.
